Aloo Gobhi Pulao - Simple and delicious Pulao recipe

We always are in search of such recipes which takes less time, also a combination of proper ingredients and delicious in taste at the same time. Coming home tired from work, you are left with no energy to cook a proper meal. This Simple and homely Aloo Gobhi Pulao is a perfect recipe for all. Veggies used in the dish are so stomach-friendly that it doesn’t affect your health.

Minimal spices used in this pulao makes it healthy and powerpack with calories. The best part with this amazing pulao is, you can add as many veggies as you want as per your choice. There are no such limitations, either, vegetables make this dish richer in regards to vitamins and minerals.

Soaking time:  15 minutes   Preparation Time: 13 mins   Cooking Time: 17 mins   Total Time: 45 mins    Makes 4 servings

Ingredients required to make pulao:-

Potato Cubes              -    ¾ Cup
Cauliflower Florets    -    1 Cup
Rice (Soaked for 15 minutes)      -    ¾ Cup
Ghee                                        -    2 tsp
Cumin Seeds                          -    ½ tsp
Dalchini (Cinnamon)            -    1”
Cloves                              -    3
Tejpatta (Bayleaf)                        -    1
Turmeric Powder                -    ¼ tsp
Chilli Powder                          -    ½ tsp
Salt                                        -    To Taste

For the Garnish

Chopped Coriander              -    1 tbsp




Method to prepare pulao:-

Take a pressure cooker and put the flame on. Add ghee and heat it. Once heat, add cumin seeds, cinnamon cloves and bay leaf. Mix them and saute on medium flame for sometime.
Add soaked rice and mix them well with the mixture. Saute on medium flame for around 2 minutes.
Time to add veggies into the mixture. Add potatoes, cauliflower.
Also add Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, 2 cups of water, salt and mix them well.
Cover the pressure cooker and cook rice until 2 whistles.
Before opening the lid allow steam to escape thoroughly.
At last, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Your simple homely Aloo Gobhi Pulao is ready.
Serve with cucumber, tomato, and onion raita or with a cup of normal curd.
Sweet lassi will accompany well with this recipe.
